I had cloudy urine from day one and has lasted through my entire pregnancy and my doctor said it's completely normal as you being to pass protein and other additional materials.

I have gotten this occasionally before I got pregnant. Some of the more likely causes would be either a urinary tract infection (bacteria is making it cloudy), or too much sugar in your urine (which can happen after you eat a large meal or if your body is having trouble processing sugar, which can happen with gestational diabetes). Either way I suggest you talk to your doctor so you can test to find out what it is, because it is important to treat both of these conditions sooner rather than later when you are pregnant.

I had cloudy urine during my pregnancy as well and had no complications. Everytime you go in for a check up they should be screening your urine for bacteria, infection, sugar etc. If these don't show up to be a problem I wouldn't be concerned. Your urine may be more concentrated if your a little dehydrated. Also your mucous membranes are starting to produce more discharge (leukorrhea) to get ready for delivery which is probably making your urine cloudy.
To pumpkin butt 12: do you realize that one glass of juice has up to 7 teaspoons of sugar! I would highly recommend drinking more water to flush out your kidneys. Too much sugar will not only cause weight gain, but can also cause diabetes.

I am experiencing the same issue. I had corrective surgery for kidney reflux disease when I was 9 years old and am no stranger to UTI's. I have been experiencing cloudy urine with no other UTI symptoms since I have been pregnant, and aim to get this checked out at my first visit next week. (8 weeks) Hope this doesn't mean I'm gestational diabetic! I was borderline with my first son.
The most common culprit is not enough water. If there are any other symptoms then it's probably a UTI.

I have had cloudy urine since I have been pregnant. there are no other symptoms showing an infection......what could be the cause of this?

My cloudy urine started at around 18weeks. I did alot of reading on the subject and tried so of my own experiments and i've realized that the more water you consume the less cloudy your urine appears. Mind you the first time i saw it i freaked out...lol.But i guess once thats all your experiencing and no other symtoms its probably nothing to worry about. I also think that holding my urine is part of the reason for the concentration of the cloudiness.
